Hey, it's me!

Maw Maw Chic Enthusiast * Midlife Traveler

What is a “Maw Maw Chic” Enthusiast? It’s me!. An old soul who takes a dusty thrift store over a fancy mall any day. Those quirky knick-knacks that your grandma hoards? I live for those treasures!

I’ve moved a lot {like 29 times} so I don’t have roots in a particular home but oh do I have a connection to all of my stuff.  No matter where I live I want my home to tell my families story. Each trinket tells a tale of my family history, making every corner of my home a memory lane. I get a kick out of sparking nostalgia in guests.

From owning a decorating business to working in the nonprofit world to dishing out meals at a gas station, my career journey has been an interesting ride. Now, I'm in the mental health marketing biz - talk about a plot twist!.

On a personal note, I’m an only child raising an only child...teenage son..fun times! Divorced for six years, this journey may have been the most challenging, but the lessons have been truly transformative. . .in the most positive way!

I'm here to dish out the wisdom I've gathered on my journey and show how rebranding in midlife is possible. Let's flip the script and find joy and purpose in every life lesson.

I learn best through cooking, thrifting and traveling the backroads. I hope that works for you!

Hop in. Buckle up. Bring a jacket. {That AC is blasting...thanks, menopause!}

Let's embark on this adventure together!

With Humor & Hot Flashes,

Five Random Facts:

  1. In elementary school I won the American Heart Association's Jump Rope-a-thon. This was the beginning and ending of my athletic career. {Side note: I later became the Executive Director of the AHA in Houma, LA}

  2. I am not quite tall enough for my weight but I'm hopeful I still may grow 4 or 5 inches.

  3. My dog and I are on the same anxiety medication.

  4. I have a sequin section in my closet. That's normal right?

  5. I love Dolly, Reba, Conway and George.
